Courses & cpd
Alan Phelan is an experienced podiatry lecturer and clinical educator. He holds a formal teaching qualification, is experienced in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and assessment and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Alan regularly runs a variety of short course training and cpd days for podiatrists throughout South Wales.
Popular training courses include:-
Clinical Emergencies with Basic Life Support, Anaphylaxis & Adrenaline. This is usually delivered over 3 hours. It takes a workshop approach with plenty of discussion along with practical activity for resuscitation and adrenaline administration. A certificate of completion is provided.
Local anaesthesia refresher and update day. This is delivered over one day and uses lectures, workshops and practical demonstrations all on the theme of local anaesthesia in podiatric practice. A certificate of completion is provided.
